The Life of a poem.

Inhabiting the soul, of such a one
who dares to give life to their words
– a poem depends on you for its survival.

So, when a poem is born, feed him,
nurture him and invest in him
with all the love you have to give.

Let not idle words corrupt
his character, or his integrity.
See to it, that he grows to full maturity.

Then release him into the world –
and even when you have taken your last breath,
take comfort, knowing that your poem will still live on.
