Poetry/Spoken Word

Waking up in Spring.

Fragrance fills fountains
of sunlight pouring
through the cotton clouds,
opening my eyes.

Budded blossoms bloom
as batons are passed
from the seasons’ hands,
over to the next.

Reaching road, reaches
further into dawn
as I watch my life
bear fruit before me.
