present us with an insight
as to who we are.
A trying time can
reveal our true character,
leaving us exposed.
A trying time can
usher in humility
when we least expect.
A trying time can
shift our focus onto God,
where we can all pray.
A trying time can
cause us to reflect upon
who we are in Christ.
